The struts, shocks, springs.they are called different things depending on who you speak to. Apparently on the heavy duty thin twin stackable units they are all bad and last for about 13 months just after the manufacturers warranty, this is common knowledge among Whirlpool technicians and even the replacement parts that are being installed are not performing for the lifetime they were designed. I have contacted a repair service and they are scheduled for the middle of next week and over the phone he ballparked the estimate at about $300.00.
